この度、早稲田大学アジア太平洋研究科（WIAPS）が、米国ペンシルバニア大学シンクタンク＆市民社会プログラム（TTCSP）刊行の報告書「2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report」にランクインしました。

2006年以降、TTCSPは国際的に影響力のあるシンクタンクを、1950名以上の研究者・公共機関・民間団体・政策立案者・ジャーナリストの調査に基づき選出しています。2021年1月28日に刊行された最新版では、早稲田大学アジア太平洋研究科が「大学付属シンクタンク・2020年ベストランキング」において第49位、「大学付属地域研究シンクタンク・2020年ベストランキング」において第9位にランクインしました。

早稲田大学グローバルアジア研究拠点は、グローバル・ヒストリーとグローバル・ガバナンスの二つの学際的研究領域を主軸に、現代世界の多様な問題を解明する研究調査を行っています。本拠点の活動にはアジア太平洋研究科の研究者・大学院生も多く参加しており、特にアジア地域の歴史的和解と記憶の政治、移民と社会的包摂、地域統合と国際協力、持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）と連動した社会開発・開発教育・環境政策の研究、他地域（ヨーロッパ、北米、中南米、アフリカ）との比較研究などを行っています。

Since 2006, the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania publishes annual Global Go To Think Tank Index Reports. The report ranks best think tanks in the world, based on the international survey by more than 1950 scholars, public and private donors, policymakers and journalists.

 The latest 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, published on January 28, 2021, ranks the Asia Pacific Institute of Waseda University (WIAPS) in the 9^th under the category of Best Regional Studies Centers (university-affiliated) and in the 49^th under the category of Best University-affiliated Think Tanks. The WIAPS has been evaluated as one of the world’s best policy research centers affiliated with universities. As is known, professors, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students in this institute joins the Global Asia Research Center, conducting interdisciplinary researches associated specifically with Migration Studies, Development Education, SDGs, and Global History and Reconciliation.
